ICE says it had a criminal warrant for the Sept. 4 raid at a Cato factory, contradicting Gov. Kathy Hochul’s claim, according to Spectrum News.
Hochul alleged agents misled factory owners and only had administrative warrants, but DHS officials insist a criminal warrant backed the operation. They also said several of the 57 detainees had prior convictions or pending charges.
The raid targeted Nutrition Bar Confectioners and remains part of an ongoing investigation, federal officials said Tuesday.
