A Seabreeze ride operator was fired after trying to start a kiddie coaster without securing a child’s safety bar, according to RochesterFirst.com. The July incident on the Bear Trax ride triggered a parent’s quick reaction, stopping the ride before it left the station.
State investigators confirmed no one was hurt, and the family later rode the coaster again. Seabreeze has since updated its training and safety protocols.
The ride passed inspection in May and remains cleared for use.
