Deputies arrested a Lyons woman late Monday night following an investigation into stolen phone access and unauthorized transactions.
Destiny D. Mantooth, 35, was charged with petit larceny and third-degree identity theft, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges stem from an earlier incident in the Town of Lyons, where Mantooth allegedly accessed someone’s iPhone 13 without permission and made two transactions using the CashApp mobile payment platform.
She was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and taken to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
