Deputies pulled over a Ford Explorer Tuesday morning after spotting what appeared to be a fake license plate—and ended up charging the driver with a felony.
Messiah K. Fulmore, 36, of Rochester, was arrested in the parking lot of Splash Car Wash on State Route 332.
According to deputies, Fulmore was driving south when they noticed her vehicle had an altered North Carolina plate. The plate had several features that didn’t match a legitimate one, prompting a traffic stop.
Fulmore was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a felony. She was also issued several citations and given an appearance ticket for Canandaigua Town Court.
