Jack O’Connor may be out of office, but he’s still working to help Waterloo, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
At a Sept. 8 board meeting, the former mayor proposed launching a volunteer network to help elderly residents with small home tasks—like shoveling, minor repairs, and errands. He offered to serve as dispatcher for the program, modeled after one in Interlaken.
Meanwhile, the board discussed 13 proposed Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects totaling $9.7 million and held a hearing on a $1.75 million grant application for firehouse upgrades and housing rehab.
