Construction to widen the intersection at North Street and Standart Avenue in Auburn begins Tuesday, according to The Citizen.
Casinella Excavating will handle the $509,000 project, which will close Standart between North and Vista for six weeks. Crews will replace sidewalks, storm sewers, and curbing, with work hours running 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
The city is using state funds for the project, which complements a $750,000 repaving of North Street starting next month.
