After nearly two years, the Gillett Road bridge in Ogden is finally nearing reopening, according to WHAM.
The bridge was shut down in December 2023 due to structural red flags from state inspectors. Following pressure from local leaders, CSX agreed to repairs this summer. Construction wrapped up in mid-August, with final inspections now underway.
If no issues are found, the bridge will reopen in early September — a major relief for residents facing long detours and delayed emergency response times.
