A 57-year-old Marion man was killed Friday evening after his pickup truck left the road and struck a tree in the Town of Williamson.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 6:21 p.m. on August 22. Deputies arrived on Lake Avenue, about a half mile north of Route 104, and found a 2017 Chevrolet pickup had crashed into a tree in the front yard of a home.
The driver, identified as Michael N. Henning of Farnsworth Road in Marion, was the only person in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies confirmed he owned the truck involved.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No additional information has been released.
