Driver ticketed after Jeep rolls in Ontario crash

A crash on Lake Road in the Town of Ontario last month sent a local man to the hospital and damaged a nearby crop field.

Deputies say the crash happened just after 7 a.m. on July 28. Parker Patton, 27, of Ontario, was driving east when his 2012 Jeep went off the north shoulder, rolled over, and struck a telephone pole.

Investigators say Patton moved unsafely from his lane and lost control. The crash caused significant damage to the vehicle and to the field where it landed.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. On August 24, deputies issued him a traffic ticket for moving from a lane unsafely.

Ontario Fire, Western Wayne Ambulance, Ontario Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, the Ontario Town Water Department, and Sullivan’s Towing all responded to the scene.
