Police are investigating two burglaries and car thefts that happened just hours apart Friday on Ridgewood Drive in Geneva.
Officers say someone broke into a home around 4:45 a.m. on August 22, stole car keys and a wallet, then took off in the homeowner’s 2017 blue Toyota Camry. The car was later recovered in Rochester, where police found it abandoned after the occupants fled on foot.
A second break-in was reported around 11:30 a.m. at another home on the same street. Investigators say the suspects again stole keys and a wallet, this time making off with a red 2014 Hyundai Sonata. That vehicle was last seen heading north on North Exchange Street.
Geneva police say detectives are actively following up on leads and reviewing surveillance footage. They’re asking anyone who may have seen something or captured video to come forward.
