A $38 million housing project with units for mental health clients just cleared a key hurdle in Geneva, according to Finger Lakes Times.
The city Planning Board voted 3–2 to approve Lakeview Downtown Lofts — a five-story, 74-unit development — despite vocal opposition over parking, building size, and tenant concerns. Half the units will house people with mental health diagnoses; the rest are workforce housing.
Next, the project heads to the Zoning Board for variance approvals and to the Industrial Development Agency for a possible tax break.
