Tenney releases border security plan focused on law enforcement, drug control

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney unveiled her 2025 Border Security Plan on Thursday, calling for stronger enforcement, a finished border wall, and a crackdown on fentanyl and illegal immigration.

Tenney’s plan is built around three themes: Securing Our Borders, Prioritizing America First, and Upholding the Rule of Law.

What’s in the plan

According to Tenney, the proposal includes legislation to:

  • Hire more ICE agents
  • Finish construction of the southern border wall
  • Deport criminal illegal immigrants
  • Cut off federal funding for sanctuary cities
  • Stop the flow of deadly fentanyl

The plan also emphasizes border security efforts along the Northern Border.

Tenney: Biden failed, Trump succeeded

In her statement, Tenney criticized former President Joe Biden for creating what she called “the largest humanitarian and security crisis in decades.”

She praised former President Donald Trump’s approach to immigration and said her plan would codify those policies to prevent future administrations from undoing them.

“Under President Trump, our borders are already more secure,” she said. “My plan builds on these successes.”

Tenney represents New York’s 24th Congressional District, which includes parts of central and western New York, including Oswego.
