A Sodus man is facing a criminal mischief charge after a domestic incident that involved property damage, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 19-year-old Jamar Ortiz on August 4 after responding to a reported family trouble in the Village of Sodus. Investigators say Ortiz damaged a door inside a home during a verbal argument. He was located on Newark Street and taken into custody without incident.
Ortiz was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and taken to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. He’s expected to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
