Emergency crews from multiple departments rushed to Long Point State Park after two boats collided on the water near the Cayuga County shoreline.
Units from Aurora, Union Springs, Lansing, Cayuga, Aurelius Water Rescue, King Ferry Rescue, Auburn City, Fourtown, and Aurora Ambulance responded to the scene.
The Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire reported that the incident prompted immediate deployment of water rescue teams and emergency medical services.
Command at the scene requested a medevac, and Life Net 7-12 was dispatched. The helicopter transported one of the patients to the hospital. A second patient was taken separately by ambulance according to updates that followed.
