A Seneca County woman faces multiple charges after deputies say she was driving under the influence of drugs and in possession of methamphetamine and prescription pills.
Sara R. Dove, 31, of Ovid, was arrested around 9:28 p.m. on August 1 following a traffic stop in the Town of Fayette, according to Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson.
Deputies pulled Dove over after observing her vehicle fail to keep right. During the stop, she allegedly showed signs of impairment, and field sobriety tests were administered. Investigators say Dove was driving while ability impaired by drugs.
A search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine and Clonazepam pills—both controlled substances. Dove was charged with misdemeanor DWAI by drugs, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. She was also cited for failure to keep right.
Dove was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility pending arraignment and is expected to appear in the Town of Fayette Court at a later date.
