A Town of Ontario man was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly swerving into traffic and failing roadside sobriety tests.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thad H. Smith, 69, following a traffic stop on Route 104 near Lakeside Road.
Authorities said Smith failed to yield to another vehicle and then crossed into other lanes. After conducting field sobriety tests, deputies determined he was impaired. Smith refused all chemical tests.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated under common law, failure to yield the right of way, and failure to keep right. Smith was held for arraignment in CAP court.
