A Finger Lakes-themed version of Monopoly will launch next spring, according to RochesterFirst. The new edition will replace classic board spaces with regional landmarks chosen through public input.
Canandaigua was picked as the kickoff city, with an event scheduled for July 29 to celebrate the campaign. Mr. Monopoly will make an appearance, and residents can suggest favorite sites like Watkins Glen State Park or the Corning Museum of Glass for inclusion.
The game’s release aims to spotlight community pride and local businesses, with final selections revealed closer to launch.
