TC3 hosts free college info session for adults Aug. 5

Adults in the Southern Tier can go back to college for free, and Tompkins Cortland Community College is holding an information session to explain how.

TC3 will host a SUNY Reconnect session at 5 p.m. on August 5 in Dryden. The event will cover how adults aged 25 to 55 can earn associate degrees in high-demand fields without paying for tuition, fees, books, or supplies. Registration for the session is available at TC3.edu/FreeCC.

The SUNY Reconnect program is open to New York residents in the eligible age range who do not already have a college degree. At TC3, that includes programs such as Chemical Dependency Counseling, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Support Specialist, Construction and Environmental Technology, Engineering Science, Environmental Studies, Nursing, Sustainable Farming and Food Systems, and three tracks of Teacher Education Transfer.

Adults can apply now to begin classes in the fall semester.
