Police responding to a reported burglary on West First Street in Elmira ended up arresting a man on drug charges, according to WETM.
Rashad Driscoll Sr., 50, was found on the property and allegedly refused to leave. When officers tried to detain him, he resisted and attempted to flee. After being taken into custody, police discovered a significant amount of drugs and cash during a search.
Driscoll was charged with felony drug possession and obstructing government administration. Additional charges may follow as the investigation continues.
