Bath man arrested in Walgreens theft, faces fourth burglary charge of the year

A Bath man with a growing history of theft offenses was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly stealing property from a Walgreens store and attempting to flee the scene.

According to the Village of Bath Police Department, officers responded to the larceny call around 10:50 a.m. on July 16. The suspect, identified as 69-year-old Stanley Mckee, was found behind the store in possession of the stolen items. Police also determined that Mckee had previously been trespassed from the location.

Mckee was arrested for Burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor. He was processed at the police department and later transported to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment.

Authorities noted that this marks Mckee’s fourth arrest for third-degree burglary in 2025 alone, in addition to multiple other offenses.
