A juvenile in Waterloo was arrested last week for allegedly stealing and damaging another youth’s bicycle, police said.
The Waterloo Police Department reported that officers arrested the juvenile on July 10 at approximately 5:21 p.m. The suspect, whose identity is being withheld due to age, faces charges of petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
The arrest followed a larceny investigation in which the youth was accused of taking a bicycle belonging to another juvenile and causing damage to it. Authorities issued the suspect an appearance ticket, and the individual is expected to report to the Seneca County Probation Department at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine whether other suspects were involved.
