A Bath man was arrested on felony drug charges after police raided a home on Casey Lane and seized a significant quantity of methamphetamine, authorities said.
Officers with the Village of Bath Police Department executed a no-knock search warrant around 8:30 p.m. on July 9 in connection to an investigation into drug sales in the area. According to police, the search uncovered approximately two ounces of methamphetamine allegedly intended for illegal distribution.
Police also confiscated packaging and sales materials, other controlled substances, and additional evidence tied to narcotics trafficking.
Shane M. Cummings, 31, of Bath, was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a Class A-II felony, and tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony.
Two other people inside the residence were detained during the search but later released.
Cummings was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail, where he was arraigned and released.
