Two teens accused of breaking into Dundee school with stolen access card

Two youths are facing legal consequences after allegedly using a stolen access card to unlawfully enter Dundee Central School last month, authorities said.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on June 10 at approximately 10:41 p.m. An investigation determined that a 19-year-old eligible youthful offender from Dundee and a 17-year-old juvenile from Himrod entered the school through a locked door using the stolen card.

The 19-year-old was charged with criminal trespass in the third degree and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Starkey Town Court.

The 17-year-old, whose name was withheld due to age, was referred to Yates County Probation for criminal trespass and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.
