Authorities in Canandaigua arrested three men over a span of months as part of an undercover operation targeting street-level drug sales in the city.
The investigation, dubbed “Operation Flight of the Phoenix,” led to the arrests of Queshon R. Gross, 31; Darnell Rojas-Robinson, 29; and John C. Grier, 54, according to a press release from the Canandaigua Police Department.
Gross was arrested on April 8 and charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree after allegedly selling crack cocaine in the city. A week later, on April 15, Rojas-Robinson was arrested on the same charge under similar allegations.
Grier was taken into custody on June 18 and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Police allege he also sold crack cocaine in Canandaigua. Additional charges against Gross and Grier are pending.
Authorities said charges are also pending against Marshall J. Henderson and Timothy J. Lovett. The department issued a public call for the two men to turn themselves in and encouraged anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact police at 585-396-5035.
The Canandaigua Police Department was assisted during the investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Geneva Police Department.
