A Wayne County man was arrested early Tuesday after deputies responded to a violent disturbance in the Village of Sodus.
Deputies charged Cornall Marayne, 48, of West Main Street, with two counts of criminal obstruction of breathing in the second degree and one count of harassment in the second degree.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Marayne was involved in a physical altercation with a female victim when he allegedly choked her twice during the fight. Both times, the victim lost consciousness, investigators said.
Deputies Otto and Craine from the Road Patrol Division arrested and processed Marayne. Authorities transported him to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment at 7:00 a.m. on July 8. He is expected to appear in the Town of Sodus Court at a later date.
