Brantling Bluegrass Festival returns July 23–27 with four days of music and community

The Brantling Bluegrass Festival is back for its 16th year, bringing four days of live music, camping, and community to Newark in Wayne County.

Kicking off with a free concert on Wednesday, July 23, the festival opens with a 6 p.m. performance by Reliant, featuring local musician Mark Miklos. From there, the stage will come alive with national, regional, and local bluegrass acts through Sunday, July 27.

Festival organizers aim to spotlight bluegrass talent from across Central and Western New York while creating an atmosphere where fans and musicians can connect through shows and spontaneous jam sessions.

Held in a scenic setting just outside Newark, the event offers weekend passes for $85 per person, which includes the option for free dry camping. Tickets for teens ages 13 to 17 are $40, and children 12 and under get in free. Individual day tickets are also available.

With a full schedule of performances and the warmth of the bluegrass community, organizers say this year’s festival promises to be “a great time” in “a beautiful place” filled with “wonderful people.”
