An SUV crashed into a utility pole Thursday in Skaneateles, breaking it in half and knocking out power for 25 National Grid customers, according to CNY Central. The collision occurred near New Seneca Turnpike and Gully Road just before noon.

One person was taken to Upstate University Hospital; their condition hasn’t been released. Rescue efforts were delayed until power was safely cut off, as people were temporarily trapped inside the vehicle.
