Wayne County has officially renamed its public safety building to honor retired Sheriff Dick Pisciotti, recognizing his decades of service and leadership, according to the Times of Wayne County. Pisciotti served in law enforcement for over 40 years, including 26 years as county sheriff.
During his tenure, Pisciotti modernized the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, expanded services, and helped build the now-renamed Richard J. Pisciotti Public Safety Building. He was also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and held leadership roles in several national law enforcement organizations.
Current Sheriff Rob Milby praised Pisciotti’s legacy, calling the dedication a fitting tribute to a man who shaped modern policing in the county.
