Man drives into Michigan church, opens fire before being killed

A man was shot and killed by a security guard after crashing his truck into a Michigan church and opening fire during a Sunday morning service, according to KFOX. The attack at CrossPointe Church in Wayne injured one person and terrorized over 150 attendees, including children.

The suspect, 31, was first run over by a churchgoer before being shot. Senior Pastor Bobby Kelly Jr. said the church had hired security over a decade ago due to growing safety concerns. Witnesses described chaos, with some hiding during the gunfire.

The FBI is assisting local police in the ongoing investigation as church leaders prepare to address the congregation following the violence.
