Reigning MVPs Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees and Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers have surged to the top of the 2025 MLB All-Star Game fan voting, according to the first Phase 1 balloting update released by Major League Baseball.
Judge leads all vote-getters with 1,568,527 votes, putting him in position for a seventh All-Star selection and a potential third time as the league’s overall vote leader. If the total holds, he would join elite company with Ken Griffey Jr., Rod Carew, and Ichiro Suzuki as one of only four players to top all of baseball in voting three or more times since 1970.
Ohtani, meanwhile, leads the National League and ranks second overall with 1,398,771 votes. Now a Dodger, the three-time MVP is bidding to become the first player since Griffey to lead both leagues in voting during a career. Ohtani is seeking his fifth straight fan-elected All-Star start at designated hitter.
