A Delaware County man was sentenced this week to 30 years in prison for fatally stabbing his pregnant wife and injuring their two young daughters. Drew Garnier pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault for the September 2024 attack in Masonville.
Garnier admitted to killing his wife, Samantha, who was five months pregnant, and stabbing their daughters during the incident. At sentencing, Samantha’s father claimed the motive stemmed from Garnier’s anger over the unborn child’s sex.
Garnier will also serve 15 years of post-release supervision following his prison term.
