More than 3,000 attendees gathered at the New York State Fairgrounds this week to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the New York Future Farmers of America, according to CNY Central. The event returned to the site of its first convention in 1925, offering competitions, workshops, and student recognition.
The three-day convention showcased youth leadership in agriculture, featuring livestock exhibits and industry partners. It also introduced the organization’s first Hall of Fame, honoring over 30 individuals for their contributions to agricultural education and FFA.
FFA National Officer Candidate Hunter Smigel emphasized the group’s inclusive nature, welcoming students of all backgrounds with an interest in agriculture.
