The beloved Watkins Glen Waterfront Festival and Cardboard Boat Regatta will return June 14. Registration is now open for participants to craft their own cardboard boats and compete in the family-friendly race at Seneca Harbor Park.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., featuring live music, food, crafts, and public viewing of creatively designed boats. The regatta starts at 2 p.m., with strict rules requiring boats be made of recycled cardboard and paddled by hand or oar.
Participants must register by June 9, and organizers emphasize cleanup responsibilities after the race to preserve the park’s beauty.
