Seneca County Sheriff’s Office welcomes nine new corrections officers

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office officially welcomed nine new members to its Corrections Division during a swearing-in ceremony held Thursday, June 12.

Family, friends, and fellow officers gathered to witness the formal induction of the new correction officers, several of whom bring prior experience from New York State and neighboring sheriff’s offices.

Those sworn in include Nicolas Bermudez, Hayden Delaney, Kenneth Fisher, Chad Guenot, Robert Hatch, Jason Orchard, Elizabeth Roggie, Lena Wilson, and Timothy Wilson.

“We are proud to welcome these dedicated professionals to our team,” said Sheriff Timothy J. Thompson, Jr. “Each brings valuable experience, strong character, and a shared commitment to public safety and ethical service.”

Sheriff Thompson also acknowledged the dedication of current staff who helped maintain operations during recent staffing shortages at the correctional facility. “We appreciate their commitment to this organization and this community,” he said.
