A longtime Seneca Falls resident has launched her campaign for a seat on the town board.
Lori Gnau, of 18 Chapel Street, announced her intention to run, bringing with her 33 years of experience as a rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office and a strong commitment to community service. After retiring in 2022, Gnau started Captain Lori’s Travel as an independent travel advisor under Cruise Brothers and has remained active as a Seneca Falls Rotarian.
Gnau said her decision to run stems from a long-standing desire to serve the town. “Having attended several board meetings, I feel it is time to be part of positive change for the town. Fiscal responsibility and common sense matter to me. My main focus would be making Seneca Falls the vibrant place that it once was,” she said.
Gnau plans to seek the Democratic nomination. The Seneca Falls Democratic town caucus, where candidates will be selected, is scheduled to meet in June or July on a date yet to be announced. All registered Democrats residing in Seneca Falls are eligible to vote at the caucus.
