Drivers heading to Port Byron schools will notice a new traffic pattern after spring break.
The Village of Port Byron is installing new stop signs at the entrance to the school campus on Maple Avenue. The update will create a three-way stop intersection designed to improve safety for students, families, and staff.
District officials announced the change ahead of the break, urging community members to follow the new signs and traffic flow when classes resume. The update is part of a coordinated effort between the village and Port Byron Central School District to enhance safety during busy drop-off and pick-up times.
“Please be sure to follow the updated traffic pattern and help us keep everyone safe,” the district said in a message to families. Officials thanked residents for their cooperation and support.
