Deputies arrested five people early Saturday morning after a traffic stop in Victor led to the discovery of multiple controlled substances inside a vehicle.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said the stop occurred around 1:30 a.m. on May 17 on Interstate 490. The vehicle, which had broken safety glass, no plate lamp, and no working turn signal, was operated by 35-year-old Victoria Lee Scharett of Ovid.

Deputies learned Scharett had an outstanding warrant from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office. During the stop, officers found several controlled substances and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

All five occupants were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Scharett was charged with two counts and issued traffic citations. Jerimiah Patrick Hall, 44, of Waterloo; Jessica Anne Dyson, 40, of Seneca Falls; Brett Allen Wells, 45, of Cato; and Jason Bradley Osgood, 53, of Phelps also received varying counts.

Each was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court on May 27. Scharett was later turned over to Seneca County authorities on her outstanding warrant.
