Seneca Falls man arrested twice in 24 hours for protection order violations

A Seneca Falls man is facing criminal charges after police say he violated an order of protection for the second time in just 24 hours.

Robert Nageldinger, 53, was arrested on April 2 at 4:43 p.m. after officers from the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department responded to a report that he was at the residence of the protected party. Police confirmed that his presence there violated a stay-away order of protection.

This is the second time in one day that Nageldinger has been arrested for breaching the same order, according to authorities. Following his latest arrest, he was charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, which is classified as a class A misdemeanor.

Police processed Nageldinger and transported him to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. He is awaiting arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Town of Seneca Falls Court to respond to the charges.
