The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has promoted Stacy Lambert to Chief Deputy Sheriff, marking the first time a woman has held the role.

Lambert, a 21-year veteran of the department, started as a correction officer in 2004. She moved to the Road Patrol Division in 2012 and steadily rose through the ranks, becoming chief correction officer in 2022.

Now the third highest-ranking official in the agency, Lambert will oversee policy development, vendor contracts, and assist the Professional Conduct Unit in her new leadership role.
