While one downtown mural is moving forward, a second one at 37 Fall St. is facing strong opposition, according to Finger Lakes Times.
The It’s a Wonderful Life Museum board voted unanimously to oppose the mural, saying it could harm the historic character of lower Fall Street. The building is part of a nationally recognized historic district.
The mural’s design isn’t finalized, but sponsor Bonafiglia Family Foundation says it’s weighing community feedback before deciding how to proceed.
