FLCC professor to discuss adoption and reunion at downtown gallery event

A Finger Lakes Community College professor will share her personal journey of adoption and family reunion during a gallery talk in Canandaigua on April 4.

Liz Brownell, a mixed media artist and FLCC art professor, will speak at the closing reception for her exhibit, “My Whole Life is Two Different Stories,” at ArtSpace36. The show was inspired by her search for her birth family, a quest she began at age 45. Though her biological parents had died, Brownell discovered she had two sisters.

The reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the college’s downtown Canandaigua gallery, located at 36 S. Main St. Brownell’s talk begins at 4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
