Organizers behind the effort to formally define and promote the “Little Finger Lakes Region” are inviting the public to take part in a pivotal second workshop next month.
The session will take place on Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Little Lakes Community Center, located at 4705 South Main Street in Hemlock. The meeting will also be available via Zoom, with virtual access details to be shared in the coming weeks.
Following a well-attended first workshop held February 22, the initiative’s Steering Committee has completed its initial tasks and is now ready to present a proposed regional name, tagline, mission, and vision. The committee has also drafted a preliminary outline of the area that would be defined as the Little Finger Lakes Region, along with several short-term projects set for the next six months.
Organizers hope to surpass the turnout of 36 participants from the February meeting and are encouraging broad community participation in this next phase. The workshop is open to all, but RSVPs are required to ensure proper planning.
Those interested in attending—either in person or virtually—are asked to contact Jerry Elman by email at [email protected] or by phone at 585-737-2737.
