Mitchell’s abandoned car was found in Florida on Feb. 8, sparking a multi-state search. He was arrested on Feb. 13 by Florida deputies. On March 18, Binghamton detectives transported him back to New York, where he was arraigned and taken to the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing as they work to uncover further details about the killings.
