A Waterloo man was taken into custody Sunday night after allegedly violating a court-issued protection order by making threats through text messages.
The Waterloo Police Department reported that officers arrested Christopher J. Gould on March 16 at approximately 8:30 p.m. He was charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.
The charges stem from a domestic incident earlier in the day in which Gould is accused of sending text messages threatening to damage the victim’s property. Police said the threats constituted a violation of a protection order issued by the court.
Following his arrest, Gould was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he was held awaiting arraignment in CAP Court.
