The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of Chief Correction Officer Stacy Lambert to the rank of Chief Deputy Sheriff, making her the third highest-ranking officer in the department.
In this new leadership role, Chief Deputy Lambert will oversee all bureaus within the sheriff’s office and will be authorized to act in the absence of the sheriff and undersheriff.
With a distinguished career spanning 21 years, Chief Deputy Lambert began her service in 2004 as a Correction Officer. She later transitioned to the Road Patrol Division in 2012, where she completed academy and field officer training before returning to the Corrections Bureau. Her leadership trajectory continued with promotions to Correction Sergeant in 2018 and Chief Correction Officer in 2022.

As Chief Deputy Sheriff, Lambert’s responsibilities will include policy development and implementation, overseeing vendor contracts, and supporting the undersheriff with the Professional Conduct Unit.
Sheriff David J. Cirencione announced the promotion on March 6, underscoring Lambert’s extensive experience and dedication to the department.
