Evan Lukasciewicz delivered a record-shattering performance for Finger Lakes Community College men’s volleyball, posting 30 kills in a thrilling five-set victory (3-2) over Bryant & Stratton (WI). His dominant display broke the previous program record of 23 kills in a single match, cementing his place in FLCC history.
Lukasciewicz’s night was made possible by setter Cole Thomas, who also etched his name into the record books with 58 assists, surpassing the program’s previous mark of 55. Thomas’ precise distribution fueled an efficient Lakers offense that hit .293 for the match.
The Lakers battled through a back-and-forth contest, with Bryce Nickson contributing 12 kills and 18 digs, while Jake Seklar added six kills and eight points. Defensively, Dominick Alvarado controlled the net with a team-high five block assists, and Aaron Hennessy and Grant Walker provided key support on both ends of the court.
FLCC’s defensive effort proved crucial, as the Lakers racked up 68 digs, converting defense into offense to claim the decisive fifth set and secure the victory.
