Mobile Music, a beloved Canandaigua fixture since 1981, has entered a new era under Jason Leach and his family, effective January 1, according to Democrat and Chronicle. Leach, a long-time employee, emphasized their commitment to fostering the community’s passion for music.
Founded by Tim Chaapel, the store began with a mobile service repairing school instruments. Over time, it grew into a cornerstone of downtown Canandaigua, overcoming economic shifts and evolving into a key music education provider for 52 schools.
Chaapel, grateful for decades of community support, will now focus on instrument repairs while Leach preserves the store’s legacy of quality service and music education.
