As Wells College winds down operations after announcing its closure, the institution has sold off its century-old golf course to Kevin Fitzgerald and Kevin Dugan, business partners who have managed the club since 2021.
The Auburn Citizen first reported the sale, which totaled $165,500 for the course and $84,500 for nearby properties.
The course, designed by famed architect Robert Trent Jones, has been improved under Fitzgerald and Dugan’s management.
They plan further renovations and expanded food services.
