A Burdett man was arrested in connection with the theft of merchandise from a Lowe’s store in Hopewell on November 20, 2024, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Timmy Bauman II, 47, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree after allegedly walking out of the Lowe’s at 4200 Recreation Drive without paying for multiple items.

Following a thorough investigation by Inv. J. Baker, with assistance from Inv. A. Colburn, authorities arrested Bauman on February 5. He was subsequently issued an appearance ticket to attend a hearing in Hopewell Town Court at a future date.

Grand larceny in the fourth degree is a Class E felony in New York, typically reserved for thefts involving property valued at over $1,000 or other qualifying conditions.

No additional suspects or details were listed in the sheriff’s report.
