President Donald Trump has signed a National Security Presidential Memorandum (NSPM) aimed at intensifying pressure on Iran. The directive seeks to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and missiles, neutralize its terrorist networks, and counter its military capabilities. Economic sanctions will be enforced by the Treasury Department, targeting violators across industries such as shipping and finance.
The plan also involves pushing Iran’s oil exports to zero and restoring international sanctions through cooperation with U.S. allies. Additionally, the Justice Department will pursue legal action against Iran-backed operatives and terrorist groups affecting American interests.
Trump reiterated his stance that Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons under his watch, fulfilling his commitment to protect U.S. national security.
